Knit Lab with Elizabeth Vindedahl
Knit Lab is a technique class where we will focus on one topic. This is a demonstration and hands on class.
No homework for these classes!
Prerequisite: must know how to knit and purl.
Tubular Cast on Wednesday September 10 6:00-8:00 pm
For both classes, bring smooth, light to medium colored worsted weight yarn with appropriate knitting needles and crochet hook. Size 8 needles and G hook would work well.
Easy Recipe Scarf with Diane Augustin
This scarf is incredibly easy to knit and would be a good project for knitters at any skill level, especially beginners.
Diane made this project a "recipe" that can be made with any combination of yarn and needles.

Crocheting a chunky cowl doesn’t get any faster than this!
Simply worked with gorgeous Malabrigo, Mecha yarn and a large hook, the moebius zips through your fingers. Experience the magic of crocheting the moebius shape, which has a 180-degree twist, created at the very start of the project. It is a one-sided, one-edge object.
Instead of a traditional chain stitch, this project begins with the foundation double crochet method, which produces a relaxed beginning to the work.

This knit cowl is an asymmetrical bandana shape with a front point.
A fun knit with new skills including lace rows and a picot edge bind off.
Unblocked measurements are approximately 21” at the neck edge x 6” back seam x 15” Left front x 18” Right front. Gauge: 5 sts./in. 9 rows/in. The piece is knit flat with selvage edges throughout and seamed using a whip stitch in the selvage stitches.

Easy Beaded Scarf with Diane Augustin

Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit with beads? Learn the basics of knitting with beads and knit this simple, yet elegant, Easy Beaded Scarf. This is a very easy pattern from which to learn a bead knitting technique. This scarf is so pretty!!
Selvage edge stitches at the beginning and end of each row will also be used in this project. The scarf is approximately 4 1/2” wide x 48 “ long, using approximately 200 yards of any dk weight yarn. Prestring 6/0 TOHO seed beads before knitting.
For a longer scarf, select additional yardage and continue in the pattern.

We are so excited to start a Kid's Club at our shop! This is a kids only group designed for working on a project already in progress where children can practice their skills. This is not a learn to knit or crochet class. Maggie will be on hand to help with knitting or crochet projects.

Hashtag Hat with Elizabeth Vindedahl
Mosaic knitting is such an easy color work technique. The pattern is worked then the colors are switched, and the pattern is worked again - this is called Shadow Mosaic.
This project uses fingering weight yarn in 2 high contrasting colors.
